Set outlets, cables and switches deep into your wall to add an electrical box behind appliances or to allow clearance next to doors or drawers. These double-gang inset wall boxes allow furniture and small appliances to be placed closer to the wall because the electrical cord plugs don’t protrude past the face of the box.

Q & A
Can I use MC Cabling with this plastic recessed box?To use metal-clad cabling such as BX Cables or MC Cables (instead of Romex) with this plastic box, it would require adding a grounding bushing at the connection with the box and then running a grounding wire back to the main panel. Check the local code or with an inspector to confirm any particular situation.
