Installation Tip for Multiple Gang Switchplates: If you are having trouble installing this standard wallplate, your switches may be out of alignment. First check that the switches are properly aligned in the electrical box. Try holding the switch plate up to the wall and visually inspecting the device positions. If switches are misaligned with the switchplate screw hole openings, the position of the switches will need to be adjusted. Slightly loosen the screws holding them in the box, then hold the switch plate over them and use a screwdriver to shift the switches into the correct position. Remove plate and carefully tighten the device screws. Now you’ll be able to easily install your cover plate. If your devices are set too deeply into the wall you may need longer screws.
