Petzl ascenders are designed for ascending fixed ropes, but they can also be used to address a wide range of situations: helping a second, hauling a victim off a tower or used as a rope grab.
Handled rope clamps used for climbing fixed ropes, the ASCENSION features an over molded grip and ergonomic upper part for a comfortable and powerful grip when pulling with one or two hands. The ASCENSION handled rope clamp has a wide lower hole for easily attaching two carabiners for a lanyard and footloop and is available in either right or left handed versions. Designed to keep you safe this device features a safety catch which is completely integrated into the body of the ascender to reduce the chance of getting snagged and inadvertently opening, there’s also a hole on the top to thread a carabiner for use when moving horizontal or passing certain midline anchors.
